La Noche de los Museos (Museum Night), an annual event when the city’s museums open to the public for special nighttime events and exhibitions, is one of the biggest nights of the year for art lovers in Buenos Aires, .
In the 2013 edition, 800,000 members of the public hit the city’s museums. In 2014, some of the city’s ‘Bar Notables’ such as Bar El Progreso, El Gato Negro and Barbaro Bar were included for the big night, featuring musical performances of tango, bossa nova, jazz and folkloric.
How to Volunteer for La Noche de Los Museos
This year, the city is soliciting Spanish-speaking volunteers who are available in late October from 8 p.m. until 3 a.m. to help make sure everything goes smoothly for the 2016 edition. Volunteers receive training before the event and a certificate of participation.
