The catchiest tune of 2014, Pharrell’s Happy has made it to Argentina. The official video put out by Sony Music Argentina was mostly shot in the upscale Palermo neighborhood and features local celebrities such as rock journalist, Carlos ‘Bebe’ Contepomi and TV personality, Connie Ansaldi.
Although his story since falling into a coma in 2010 is not a happy one, there is also an homage to National Rock pioneer, Gustavo Cerati at the .15 sec mark.
Other versions such as this one and this one show more locations around the city such as Puerto Madero, the Obelisco, Galerias Pacificos and El Ateno flagship store.
Across the country it seems that many cities didn’t want to miss out on the trend with Happy videos popping up from Cordoba, La Rioja and two from Mar del Plata including one with song subtitles.
